Sacred Heart Parish is teaming up with Support the Poor, Inc. and the Knights of Columbus Columbia Council 7559 to establish Our Lady of Fatima Center for Children orphanage center which will initially accommodate up to 60 children. Its purpose is to provide the orphaned children with a safe and nurturing living environment, nutritious meals, medical care, counseling, educational assistance, and opportunities to grow spiritually and develop socially. This center will include projects to compliment the orphanage and will initially include a medical clinic, a deep well, and an orphan’s house. These projects together will enable orphaned children to mature into responsible productive adults who will be able to properly integrate into the greater community. In addition the surrounding community will benefit from the improved health care that will be provided to them from the medical clinic and as well as the use of the clean source of water.

There for the Tanzanian Children’s Project commits to raising money and increasing public awareness to resolve the following issues which is a consequence of the AIDS epidemic in Tanzania.
